Example request
Read text from message items in output and their output_text content blocks. The OpenAI SDK also exposes the output_text convenience property.
curl https://api.17.wtf/v1/responses \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LM0_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "MODEL_ID",
"input": "Explain what an API gateway does in one sentence.",
"max_output_tokens": 512,
"store": false
}' Manage conversation state yourself
previous_response_id, background: true, and store: true return 400. There is no stored-response retrieval or deletion API here. Send the relevant conversation items in each request. Accepted metadata or formatting fields outside the documented translated parameters should not be relied on for behavior.
Function calls & images
Input items can include messages, function calls, and function_call_output entries. Send tool output with the original call_id. Message content supports text and image URLs for vision-capable models. Hosted tools such as web search and file search are not supported Responses tool types; call the dedicated tools API from your own application.
